Yep, we came, we saw, and then we figured out we really should learn some Vietnamese. Not an easy language, but our teacher was lovely and patient. There are numerous language schools. Make sure you have a cô (teacher) with a Saigon accent (the northern accent is quite different, and you will need all things to be in your favour!) and decide on your routine; every day, once a week, private or in a class. There are several options and several schools.

Perhaps you’ll decide like us that introducing yourself and learning to count is all you have in you, but we have a few friends that can now survive quite a conversation. We salute them.

The girls from Ididit are a creative bunch. They organise various creative workshops, from bath bomb making to sewing beautiful shopping bags and so much more. All of sessions are held in different locations like The Hive or Green around the Corner. We don’t claim to be very creative, but still managed to make a nice decorative light for our kids bedroom.

Want to give it a try? Check out their facebook page for their upcoming events.

Exploring your creative side can also be done at this lovely boutique art studio. Whether you’re into water color painting, sculpting or prefer to just discuss paintings over a nice glass of wine without having to make them, Vin Space Art offers it all. It’s also a great spot for party’s and kids art camps.
