You gotta love this town, with all those new watering holes popping up each month! You probably know most great Saigon bars and epic rooftop hangouts in the city, but more and more hot new bars are coming to in Saigon. So let’s take you on a bar hop!

Bam Bam

Let’s start with the one we like best. This bar is close to tapas bar Octo and Sorae. On arrival it can be a bit confusing, since there’s no name on the outside wall. But inside it’s clear you have arrived at Bam Bam. This bar, named after one of the Flinstone characters, is hip and happening and the crowd is too. The drinks are not that spectacular, but sipping it while standing in an empty pool is! And kudus to this bar to have a music volume that’s loud, but not so loud it makes you tone deaf. Great to go with a group. (click on the address to find the bar in Google maps)

Ice & Spice Bar

Above the very nice Landmark 81 mall, awaits a whole new experience; drinking your cocktail in hot and tropical Saigon, while wearing a winter coat. But you’ll need one, because its quite chilly in the Ice & Spice bar. The interior is out of this world; completely made of ice, with frosty walls and a freezing bar. Luckily, they’ll hand out cute and furry coats when you enter, so no need to order hot chocolate. Great for drinks before dinner.

More hot new bars: CLIQ Saigon

Close to one of our fav bars, Drinking & Healing, a new addition to this street popped up: CLIQ Saigon. Take the team after work and fall straight into Happy Hour here, which starts at 530 pm. The interior is super nice- we’re totally digging the beautiful bar which has enough space to hang with all your mates. Make sure to try the bar bites as well!

Banana Mama

The last addition to our hot new bars in Saigon list, is actually a rooftop bar. Banana Mama is perfect for afternoon drinks, after work drinks or pre-dinner drinks – any drinks actually! With it’s laid-back, chill vibe and irresistible cocktails, it’s easy to lounge the night away here. Happy hour starts at 5 pm, and in case you’ll get hungry, growling stomachs can be tamed with sliders from Marcel’s burger – who we of course know from Cafe Marcel. See you at Happy Hour!

Everyone loves a hidden bar. You wouldn’t expect to find a bar tucked away behind an ATM in this dark alley, but there it is, another hidden gem in Saigon to add to your list! ATM is a fantastic cocktail bar with an extensive drinks menu, great food to match and a laid back atmosphere. A great place to catch up with friends and if you’re lucky, a live band will play jazzy tunes throughout the night.

Drinks are great, but drinks and some jazzy tunes are even better. So let’s jazz it up at the Rabbit hole! A cozy cocktail bar in Saigon with some seriously good jazz and equally irresistible cocktails. We love the intimate atmosphere and the 1950s vibe they got going on. It’s no wonder this charismatic cocktail bar ended up on our list of best bars in Saigon.

With the mysterious name only adding to its allure, Drinking & Healing is a new addition to the collection of speakeasy bars in Ho Chi Minh City. Leaving the bustling streets of District 1 behind us, the dim lights and exposed brick wall immediately create the perfect atmosphere for after-work or late-night drinks. Select a cocktail from the menu or let the knowledgeable ‘healers’ behind the bar mix up a new drink for you- somehow they know exactly what you need!

Give it up for another hot new lounge bar in Ho Chi Minh is No Vacancy. Inspired by London neighborhood Soho, No Vacancy has the same laid-back, chill vibe that we are looking for in a speakeasy bar. The crowd is ditto chill and the drinks are more than good. This and the Afro-trap/Latino style music are the perfect ingredients to lounge the night away…

The world is your oyster! Take your friends or loved one to Sake Central Saigon. Why? They combine two things we love- Sake, no further explanation needed, and oysters. What a golden combo! And there’s more. The ambiance in this place is just amazing. Dimly lit, great taste in interior and excellent service. Sake Central Saigon is rightfully a great new addition to Ho Chi Minh’s Sake Bars. Just one word: tanoshinde!

When stepping into Hyde, this second venue on our list of best bars in Saigon, you will need a minute to look around and grasp all that is going on – the futuristic feel, the neon lighting on the wall and the centerpiece bar. But the decor is not the only reason why you should visit this bar. The signature cocktails are stunning and are served with a story, tempting you to order them all.

Yes we hear you – it’s that time again to discover the hot new bars in Ho Chi Minh! Saigon has many great drinking dens to go to, from Chin Chin to Alley 50 to The D. And new ones are popping up every month. So we did some snoopin’ around and set up an epic pub crawl for you to check them all out. The jazzy bars, the hidden bars, we have them all. Our advice? A hidden gem- Chinchin. It has a really good vibe and they know their cocktails. Extra points for the stylish decor and the great music, which was at that perfect volume where we were still able to have a conversation. This could definitely become our new watering hole after finishing our tapas dinner at the hip Octo restaurant one floor up. Check out ChinChin soon, you will love the ambiance!

Did we just get beamed up and flashed right back into The Roaring Twenties? Entering via a red light alley, this lounge is the perfect place for some spectacular cocktails. With its luxurious bar and lush green jungle decor, it makes you feel like you are in a scene from The Great Gatsby. Be sure to add this one to your next Friday drinks or go all the way and book a private event to host a dazzling theme party!

Firkin’ awesome! This totally charming bar has a huge range of spirits, and makes you feel right at home. The bar stools are very comfortable, and the interior is so warm and decorative that after a few whiskeys you start pining for a fire place. Perfect place for a night cap with your hubby or friends after a delish dinner at  Racha Room, which happens to have the same owner as Firkin. Winning combo we say!
