Romantic Cambodia: glamping at Angkor | Romantic Getaway Romantic Getaway

A magical place, the old ruins of Angkor Wat speak to everyone. A great destination to visit with the whole family as an escape for a few days, but why not spoil yourselves and go with just the two of you? We have found the most romantic place in Cambodia where you can relax in style.

Romantic Glamping near Angkor Wat, Cambodia

The Beige is a luxury tent resort practically within Angkor. Wait, did we say ‘tent’? Yes, we did, but this resort is miles away from any camping we ever did. Equipped with antique furnishings, your own bathroom, and air-conditioning, you will feel pampered all over.

Temples, poolside and campfire

Now that you’re in the middle of a UNESCO heritage site, let’s go and explore. The Angkor Wat temples are truly breathtaking and while some of them are swamped with tourists, there are many that are not. Luckily, the resort can provide you with your own car and driver, so you can start early when it’s not too hot or crowdy.  The driver knows his way around and can even arrange a romantic picnic on the way.

If you like to bike around, there are mountain bikes to get off the beaten track and explore some of the more hidden temples. After exploring, you have enough time to enjoy the incredible pool positioned high up in the tree canopy, the Khmer cuisine, and a nightcap at the beautifully designed campfire.

Just you, your loved one and thousands year old ruins

How to get there

There are direct flights from Saigon to Siem Reap. Note that most passport holders are eligible for visa on arrival. Just make sure you take some dollars to pay for it at immigration. The resort is 20 minutes from the airport.

Romantic Cambodia: Best time to go

Weather-wise, the driest and coolest months to visit are November through to March. After that, it starts to heat up. In June and July, the heat starts to lessen and the showers start, not great when you are in a tent. The rainy season ends at the beginning of November.
