The end of the year is in sight, but we’re not quite ready yet! Let’s dive straight into November with holiday bazaars, theater, art, fests, Halloween for kids and much more fun stuff. Here’s your fave Saigon event calendar!
November 1-30: Plastic Awareness Month
November also means Plastic Awareness Month of 2019!
ReThink Plastic Vietnam is organizing a month full of activities for young and old, to help us and our families do better. Will you join them too? Stay tuned and follow their Facebook page for all Rethink Plastic events.
November 2: Day of the dead party
The day of the dead is intended as a positive honoring of the dead. While it might sound a bit eery, it’s considered a day to celebrate! Mexican Restaurant District Federal took this to heart and is organizing a party where you canup and enjoy live music and yummy food. (District 2)
November 3: Non-Profit Organization Job Fair
Have you been looking for a job or volunteer work in the Non-Profit Sector in HCMC, but haven’t found anything suitable? Here’s your chance to meet a variety of different non-profit organizations from different sectors. Organized by The LIN Center for Community Development and hosted by Co-Space. Sign up here! November 3: Thao Dien’s Farmer’s Market
A fan of fresh and locally grown fruit and veggies? Thao Dien’s Farmer’s Market is back and we like it! You can browse around for lovely household decor and buy the best produce of the region at the same time. And don’t forget to check out the new gorgeous clothing brand Vietcopenhagen while you’re there!
November 7: International Ladies Vietnam holiday bazaar
International Ladies Vietnam are organizing their annual Bazaar at the InterContinental Saigon Hotel. You can get good deals on accessories, jewelry, crafts, clothes, decor and some more! Cash only. (District 1)
November 8: Art exhibition at Ei8ht gallery
We love our dose of art to feed our minds. If you do too, then here’s a treat for you! Visit the ‘Solo Exhibition’ at the Ei8ght Gallery inside the Lafayette building. The exhibition is from 8 – 30 november so enough time to eat your artisty heart out.
November 8-16: Theater play “Constellations”
After the successful play “Every brilliant thing”, Dragon Fly Theatre has a new and exciting play in store for you. The play “Constellations” is about Marianne, a scientist, and Roland, a beekeeper, who meet, fall in love and split up again. Or do they? Recommended from 14+ years. (District 2)
November 9: Consular Club International Charity Bazaar
This yearly Consular Club Int Charity Bazaar is the perfect place to find some great Christmas gifts for back home plus enjoy the food and drink specialties from all the participating countries. You’ll be doing good too, because part of the proceeds will go to charity. Pssst… make sure you bring cash to pay for your shopping.
November 15: Statue painting with a glass of vino
This Canvas & Wine edition organized by Vin Space Art Center, it will be statue painting guided by a talented, experienced instructor. Accompanied by a glass of wine and chattering, this sounds like a fun and relaxing evening!
November 16: Burger Fest at Saigon Outcast
Say cheese! Or double cheese? Saigon Outcast is organizing their popular Burger Fest with the best burger brands in town who will be flippin’ burgers all day. Fun activities, live music and more to go with that! (District 2)
November 24: Saigon Vegfest for vegans and non-vegans
For all you vegans out there: check out this great event organized by Sống Thuần Chay and La Holista where you can literally eat your heart out! Food will be prepared from Vietnam’s best plant-based kitchens. And hey, non-vegans, it’s fun for you too. you can learn all about about veganism and how it can improve your health, protect the environment and help end animal suffering.

November 2: Babies & Toddlers Halloween Party

November 3: Spooky Sunday movie – Hotel Transylvania 3
Watching an outdoor movie is one of the (many) perks of living in the tropics wouldn’t you say? The kids will be so high on sugar after all that trick-or-treating so you could aim to go the movies to lower that energy level. Saigon Outcast will show a not-too-spooky family friendly Halloween movie on Spooky November 3rd at 5pm. Sounds like a boo-tiful plan!
November 23: Festive Bazaar at ISHCMC
On Saturday, November 23, the International School Ho Chi Minh City organizes their yearly Festive Bazaar from 10 am – 2 pm. It’s a family event with holiday shopping, festive food, activities, Santa’s Workshop and more entertainment. Cash only.
